Phoenix Comicon Update – Panels Are Scheduled!

While our staff are still waiting to receive our media credentials, we do have some exciting news for our readers. Meredith and Cris, our executive editor and entertainment editor respectively, have had both their panels for Comicon approved and placed on the schedule for May 26th and May 27th.

On Friday, May 26th, Cris and Meredith are joining forces for a panel on the philosophy behind the DC Extended Universe of Zack Snyder. This panel will be from 12pm to 1pm in room North 229AB (moved from North 127B, maybe a bigger room?) as the schedule now currently stands.

On Saturday, May 27th, they will be hosting a panel on the political and ethical and thematic underpinnings of the oeuvre of Christopher Nolan, covering everything from his early work in Memento and Insomnia to his work on the Dark Knight trilogy and his amazing work on Interstellar and Inception (with a few theories about his upcoming movie, Dunkirk). This panel will be from 7:30pm to 8:30pm in North 127C.

They are really looking forward to this opportunity to share the research and work they have put into their analysis of the films for both of these panels.

We’ll update this post if any changes to the placement or schedule for these panels are changed.
