With Friends Like These: Three Politicians Who Have No Idea What’s Happening in Israel

It wouldn’t be the first time that Israel has had to deal with enemies from all sides. Gaza and Hamas and much of the Middle East is against them on any given day, but America is their ally…so one would think they could at least count on us.

With friends like these though, well they might be better off alone.

Not only do we have politicians and celebrities making nasty comments about Israel, making them out to be the bad guy, but we also have politicians who clearly know absolutely nothing about the topic, but still insist on commenting.

3.) Alison Grimes, who is running against Mitch McConnell for his Senate seat currently.

Mrs. Grimes apparently has absolutely no clue what is going on in Israel and, also, has no clue what the “Iron Dome” is.

But don’t worry, she won’t let that stop her from commenting on the situation.

“Obviously, Israel is one of our strongest allies in the Middle East, and she has the right to defend herself,” Grimes said. “But the loss of life, especially the innocent civilians in Gaza, is a tragedy. The Iron Dome has been a big reason why Israel has been able to withstand the terrorists that have tried to tunnel their way in.”

Uh, well, okay Grimes. The Iron Dome is a “missile defense system”, I’m not sure how you got that tied to “tunneling” in your brain, but… Got any more topographically ridiculous statements to make or are you done?

2.) Nancy Pelosi.

Oh yes, Nancy Pelosi made a fool of herself again.

Serious question Californians, how does it feel to know you put someone in office that clearly either has the beginnings of Alzheimers, because apparently she has forgotten that Hamas has been considered a foreign terrorist organization by the United States for 17 years. Apparently it’s actually a humanitarian organization.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says the United States must look to Qatar, an ally of the terrorist group Hamas, for advice in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

“And we have to confer with the Qataris, who have told me over and over again that Hamas is a humanitarian organization,” she told CNN’s “State of the Union” with Candy Crowley.

Because humanitarian organizations usually store munitions in schools.

But hey, it’s not like it matters that she is getting her information on that from the Qataris, who are probably actually helping Hamas. We should totally trust them.

1.) Hillary Clinton, John Kerry might have almost made you look competent…but then you open your mouth and say something like this.

In an interview with Fusion TV, Clinton said “Hamas puts its missiles, its rockets in civilian areas; part of it is because Gaza is pretty small and it’s densely populated.”

I mean, at least you understands that Hamas was trying to provoke Israel, but does she really think that Hamas has no other place to store or fire rockets other than schools and homes? What about all those tunnels they keep building with UN materials? Satellite images of the area show plenty of space, despite the dense population of Gaza, where civilians would be put in less danger. Maybe they could, I don’t know, build storage facilities for their bombs elsewhere?

Oh wait, they like human shields. It’s not just a “tragedy” that civilians die, it’s a calculated move for propaganda. You’d think our former Secretary of State would have the brain cells to figure that out.

Oh well, this is, after all, the sparkling intellect that gave us the phrase “what difference, at this point, does it make” when asked about the motivations and identity of the people involved in a terrorist attack on American civilians.

With friends like these and enemies like Hamas, Israel needs all the self-reliance and strength that it can get.
